Surge in Paper Sales and Price Hikes

During August-September, paper manufacturers witnessed a surge in sales and rising prices of various paper types. Woodfree offset  paper and C1S ivory board (FBB/high bulk FBB) are particularly in demand.

Driven by the seasonal peak, sales of paper have soared. Office paper, including uncoated paper and A4 copy paper, as well as packaging paper like C1S ivory board (FBB), duplex grey back board, printing paper like C2S art paper, carbonless paper (NCR), and LWC have experienced price hikes ranging from $30 to $50.

The increase in demand can be attributed to businesses and individuals stocking up on paper supplies. The popularity of uncoated paper and FBB/High Bulk FBB  in the market has further fueled the surge.

While these price increases may pose challenges for buyers and businesses, they are a reflection of market dynamics and the current economic situation. Sales of these paper types are expected to continue growing throughout the peak season, leading to sustained price hikes.
