Papermaking industry from January to November 2024

On January 6, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the operation status of the paper industry from January to November 2024.

The papermaking industry is a basic raw material industry closely related to economic and social development, and it is also a people's livelihood industry closely related to residents' daily life. Through technological innovation, digital transformation, product upgrades and other means, we will continue to improve the core competitiveness and market adaptability of the industry, and further consolidate the foundation for high-quality development of the paper industry.

From January to November 2024, the national machine-made paper and cardboard output was 144.181 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%. Papermaking and paper products enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 1,315.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.9%; total profits were 41.27 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%.
